onsēm offers handmade ready to wear and tailored skirts using beautiful vibrant African prints, sourced at specialist African prints suppliers in the Bronx and Manhattan, a few miles from our design studio where we produce all our skirts. 

The onsēm skirts makes women feel feminine and effortlessly elegant; it is a skirt for all occasions from morning rush to evening out. 

Environmentally conscious, we only make a few items at a time to avoid waste of fabrics. While our core business is about skirts, we also make beautiful big bags and other accessories.

onsēm was born in 2021 from a love of prints, a sewing machine, and a deep appreciation for slow fashion.
What started as a simple skirt made from leftover pillowcase fabric grew into something much bigger — a celebration of modern design, vibrant African wax prints, and the stories they tell.

Originally founded by three French women  - Charlotte, Marie and me, Frédérique who met in New York -  onsēm has since evolved into a solo journey.
